A Doula’s Role
Prenatal Support
Providing women and their partners with support before labor and birth. Guidance with developing a birth plan, education about the birthing process, and support navigating the process of pregnancy. This time allows us to get to know one another and aid in the comfort when labor begins.
Labor and Birth
Working alongside and supporting mothers and their partners as labor begins and progresses. Assisting with relaxation, encouragement during labor. It’s a doulas role to follow birthing mothers lead and meet her where she is with a gentle touch and an encouraging word. Allowing birthing mothers to birth their way, supported and guided.
Postpartum and Newborn
After labor and delivery, a doula remains part of the support system to mother, family and baby. From breastfeeding support and connecting with helpful resources I am here to help.
